Death Of Ceasar

Jean-Léon Gérôme's The Death of Caesar, painted in 1867, depicts the aftermath of Julius Caesar's assassination. The painting is held at the Walters Art Museum. It shows the deserted scene in Pompey's theater. It includes a body, an overturned throne, and fleeing conspirators.
